Our Service to you
In order to help you, it is absolutely imperative that we don’t just view you as just a customer: we are aware that everyone who comes to us, for whatever reason, is an individual with their own needs and desires. Our job is simply to fulfil them. This is why we offer so much more than just a range of products: at Shire Mobility, we offer an ongoing service that lets our customers be assured that, whatever may crop up, we will be there to help them.
What to expect from Shire Mobility
Assessment & Consultation
At Shire Mobility, we get to know every customer as an individual. It is important to understand what your needs are now and possibly for the future. Doing this helps us to make a more personalised recommendation that has a much better chance of improving your freedom and independence from the start.
The first step in this journey is an assessment or consultation, depending on the solution potentially needed. Depending on what solution is being looked at, that assessment or consultation can be delivered either in your home or at the store where we have the opportunity of more solutions available to demonstrate. The more we know the more we can help.
Home Visits
Whilst it is always better to visit one of our stores where we can show you a multitude of options, we do understand that this is not always possible. We are always happy, where practical and feasible, to visit you in your home with a selection of options to demonstrate.
Whether you’re an existing customer who needs further help or a prospective customer that has yet to decide on our services, you can enquire about the feasibility of a home visit today!
Delivery
With larger items it is not always possible for you to pick them up from the store. As part of our service we will deliver those large items such as Scooters, Powerchairs, Electric Wheelchairs, Beds etc to you. We operate within a 40 mile radius of our branches. It is sometimes possible for us to deliver further afield however there would be a charge in doing so.
For smaller items, courier or postal services are an option for you, which we can help you arrange.
Installation & Setup
At Shire Mobility we believe that solutions such as Stairlifts, Riser Recliners, Scooters, Powerchairs, Electric Wheelchairs etc should not be delivered in a box. For example Mobility Scooters are delivered to us, we take them out of the box, build them up, test them and then deliver if they have passed out quality control.
Our engineers and delivery personnel will make sure that your product is installed correctly and that it is set up to the configuration agreed with you on ordering. This ensures that you get the best service possible from us and your product or solution from day one is working how it should be.
Servicing & Repairs
Maintenance of your equipment such as Mobility Scooters, Powerchairs and Electric chairs is important if you want them to run at their best for you. We only sell solutions and products that we know can be maintained, serviced or repaired if needs be by our own engineers and not third parties.
Servicing
Servicing of your products and solutions is carried out by experienced engineers at Shire Mobility. By servicing you equipment you are keeping it in the best condition it can be and will help prevent any surprising breakdowns. We offer servicing on all products we supply such as Stairlifts, Mobility Scooters, Wheelchairs and powerchairs to name a few. On some occasions there will be a need for us to carry out work at your home for instance on stairlifts. We will always take great care when working within your home to make sure no mess is created and all rubbish is taken away.
Repairs
Repairs are carried mostly at our Northampton location by our trained engineers. We carry an extensive range of spare parts to ensure that repairs are carried out promptly wherever possible.
Whilst we carry a stock of tyres and batteries to fit most type of equipment, there are times when we need to order specific parts from the manufactures which may well add to your down time. Shire Mobility is proud of the fact that its staff are friendly, efficient and professional. No work will be undertaken without the customer’s prior authorisation.
Warranties
Depending on the product itself, our products come with a manufacturers warrant ranging from one to five years. In most cases, the warranty will include cover for parts, labour, and callout, in the eventuality that something goes wrong. Your warranty will generally cover mechanical and electrical breakdowns. Accidental damage is not covered.
We strongly believe that any business operating in the healthcare sector has a responsibility and commitment to its customers to provide an ongoing service which guarantees that they are looked after.
